Reflective Psychotherapy
Move from resistance to ambivalence, and then from ambivalence to change.
Reflective Psychotherapy (RP) is an adaptation of Motivational Interviewing techniques for use as psychotherapy. RP is general psychotherapy for working with diverse client presentations in community settings. RP is designed to help therapists to build rapport with difficult-to-engage clients, and then build clients’ intrinsic motivation for change.
We have been developing and studying RP since 2018, using an iterative, empirical approach. We have been publishing research results since 2023. Please reach out if you would like to join our research team.
