Reflective Training Terms of Use

Plain-Language Summary
These Terms govern your use of the Reflective Training (“RT”) website. You must be a healthcare provider, student, corporate trainee, or legitimate learner (18+) to use the Site. You’re responsible for your content (e.g., video roleplays), keeping your account secure, and not reproducing others’ roleplays. We can use your content for education, research, and platform improvement, but you can request removal after course completion. Don’t misuse the Site. 1. Introduction
Welcome to Reflective Training (“RT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
2. Eligibility
The Site is for healthcare providers, healthcare students, corporate trainees, and other legitimate human learners aged 18 and older. By using the Site, you confirm:
- You meet these criteria.
- All registration information is accurate and truthful.
3. User Responsibilities
- Content Submission: You’re responsible for content you submit (e.g., Feedback Forms, mock video roleplays). Content must comply with laws, ethical standards, and not be harmful, offensive, or inappropriate.
- Confidentiality: You agree to maintain confidentiality of any identifiable information (e.g., other learners’ roleplays) and use it only for educational purposes. You must not capture, reproduce, or distribute others’ roleplays, including via screenshots, recordings, or sharing.
- Account Security: Keep your account credentials secure and notify us immediately of unauthorized use at robertsd5@uthscsa.edu.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for unlawful purposes.
- Share or distribute Site content outside its educational context.
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
- Impersonate others or falsify credentials.
- Attempt unauthorized access to the Site or its systems.
- Engage in automated scraping or excessive API usage.
5. Intellectual Property
- Your Content: You grant RT a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and display your submitted content solely for educational, research, and platform improvement purposes, consistent with our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your content.
- RT Content: All RT materials (e.g., training resources) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Use them only for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
6. Video Roleplays
Your mock video roleplays may be viewed by authorized researchers or other RT learners for educational purposes, as outlined in the Privacy Policy. Request removal from website accessibility after course completion by emailing robertsd5@uthscsa.edu.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for other significant reasons. We’ll:
- Notify you of minor violations with a warning, allowing correction.
- Terminate immediately for severe breaches (e.g., malicious activity).
- Allow data export (if requested) before termination, per the Privacy Policy.
8. Dispute Resolution
Disputes will be resolved as follows:
- Mediation: Initial disputes will be handled through non-binding mediation with a neutral mediator in Bexar County, Texas.
- Arbitration: If mediation fails, disputes will proceed to binding arbitration under American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules in Bexar County, Texas.
- Litigation: As a last resort, disputes will be resolved in Bexar County, Texas courts under Texas and U.S. federal law.

9. Limitation of Liability
The Site and all related content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms, with changes posted here and an updated “Last Updated” date. We’ll notify you via email or Site pop-up. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Texas and U.S. federal law. Disputes not resolved via mediation/arbitration will be handled in Bexar County, Texas courts.
